Real Violin Lite App Reviews

Does anyone know that instead of having to rotate the device there is a touch mode where you just touch the note on the string? Has anyone tried it? I like it. Even though I play the violin. 

This Absolutly does NOT sound like a violin. I have one. They need a update to fix the sound |:(

I play the violin. This sounds nothing like it, and it is way off pitch!!!! I HAD it for two minutes and had to delete it immediately. Dont buy if you gave perfect pitch, play the violin, or have ears! Would give a 0 (but not possible)!!!!!!

I read the comments and just tryed it anyways thinking it couldnt be as bad as they said it was but they were right! I played twinkle twinkle little star and it sounded like a dying moose DO NOT DOWN LOAD. This app is terrible. It shouldnt be free! They should have to pay you to download it!

Dont bother. Dont waste ur time on this piece of crap. I play the violin. I know what it sounds like. This app deserves a big fat 0 stars.

I play the violin and compose pieces. This is not a violin. It also only has arco( bowing), it needs pizzacato ( plucking).

I still dont see why a "lite" version is priced

if you go to touch and just slide your fingers all over the place it sounds awesome

This app is ok, but there are a couple of problems. The notes are really hard to get just right and playing on the right string is hard, too. You have to bend the ipod the opposite direction to get the right notes. THAT IS SO CONFUSING. Especially if you play a string instrument. The lite version is worth getting just because it does act like a fake violin when you are on the go. DO NOT BUY THE VERSION THE COSTS 2.99.

Look, if u dont like it, at least say something other than I play violin and its nothing like this. I actually do play violin and its good for ear playing and figuring out new song when I dont have my violin with me. Its slightly like playing, but needs pizzicato, vibratto, and the option to change keys. Playing the string you touch instead of the one the iPod is tilted for would be nice. It does sound like a violin, but some notes despratly need to be replaced with ones that arent synthetic

... the violin sample was more true to the sound of a violin; the sound is ... more like a synth keyboard. ... you could somehow pluck the strings.... ... one could tweak the sound quality manually or even retune, such as the settings on Pocket Guitar... HOWEVER> the interface on this app is the best of all the apps I have seen and tried, and I am eager to try the full version as well... its seems really lame to me though with such great apps out there like mandolin, dulcimer, ikoto and pocket guitar (which not only reproduce the string sound with remarkable fidelity, but you can also tweak the sound and add effects such as echo, sustain and distortion.) that all violin apps are so limited in terms of sound quality. its not like the violin is one of the most popular and far reaching instruments ... only every kind of genre and culture use it.... why so little love for the violin in app land?

App not I like. Penny too much for this app. I go buy bird nest soup instead! Save penny and go buy dollar tree stuff!

Ive played violin for over 8 years and the app is ok. The finger placement is right but the notes sound a little dead and flat.

I guess its a good app for those who want to explore the sound of a violin but if you already play then theres no point in buying this. Too hard to play on here even if you know how to play in real life.

I just updated the app and the ipod itself, and the app keeps crashing on me. what do i do O_O ive turned on and off my ipod and tried reloading the app but it still crashes. :/

Sure it sounds like a totally different instrument but I use it differently. Its helpful if you want to get the basics of a song down. Dont get this if u want to actually play a song.
